Bhartiya City is an emerging smart city located just outside of Bangalore, the technology hub of India. Bio-Incision sits at the center of Bhartiya City operating as the financial center and main gathering place. The 2,000,000 square foot program incorporates ground level retail, open floor plan offices, luxury hotel, and live-work studios. The design focuses on incision; a simple cube retains pure geometric form on the exterior while the inside reflects the dissection of flesh. This dissection allows for unique outdoor gathering places on every level. The U-shape of the building frames a large outdoor celebration plaza while also linking together the four programs. A large ‘sky walk’ further links the building together 100 feet above the ground highlighting the central theme of incorporating nature and architecture. Bio-Incision offers a dynamic user experience through the hope that both architecture and nature can thrive together.
